You do not need to carry everything at once.
A private space for emotional overwhelm, invisible responsibilities, and the brain that has too many tabs open.
Name the pressure first
Before sorting anything, let's notice where things sit right now. Nothing here is graded.
Get it out of your head
One open loop at a time. You don't have to solve any of it — the first reset is simply getting it out of your mind.
Is this mine to carry?
Go through your brain tabs and place each one. Not everything that enters your mind is yours to hold.
What's actually urgent?
Some things feel pressing because they're emotionally heavy, not because they're time-sensitive. Let's tell them apart.
Make the invisible visible
Tick anything you've carried today. This isn't a productivity score — it's a way to see the load no one else sees.
Do I have room for this?
Before you say yes, check what it would actually cost. Saying "let me check first" is a complete answer.
Share the load, simply
Find the words to ask, without over-explaining. Pick who you're talking to and what you need.
The smallest next step
Not the whole list. Just one thing that would lower the pressure by a fraction. That's enough.
Today's reset
When you finish a reset, it comes together here as a calm summary you can keep.
Say it somewhere safe
No structure needed. Use a prompt or just write. It stays on your device.
Keep what matters
Everything lives on this device. Export or print anything you'd like to keep elsewhere.
A note on your privacy. Your reflections are saved locally on this device and browser. They are not stored in an online account. If you clear browser or app data, saved reflections may be removed — so export or print anything important.
How to use this
A gentle map. There's no wrong way to use Mental Load Reset.
What this app is
A private space to empty a full mind, sort what's actually yours, and leave with one calm next step. It's for the days when everything feels urgent, heavy, and somehow yours to carry.
What this app is not
It's a self-reflection and wellness support tool — not therapy, medical advice, diagnosis, crisis support, or financial, legal, or debt advice. If you're in crisis, please reach out to a local support service or someone you trust.
When you're overwhelmed, start here
- Brain feels full? Go to Brain Tabs and empty it, one tab at a time.
- Not sure what's yours? Sort What's Yours sorts each tab gently.
- Everything feels urgent? Urgent or Heavy separates loud from time-sensitive.
- Need one calm action? One Next Step turns it all into a single move.
The reset flow
Tap Start a reset on Home. Move through whichever tools help. When you're ready, open Reset Summary and tap Finish reset — it gathers everything from that session into one card you can keep.
How offline works
After your first visit while online, the app installs itself on your device. From then on it opens and works without internet, including from your Home Screen.
Your privacy
Everything stays on this device and browser — no account, no sign-in, nothing sent online. Clearing browser or app data will remove saved reflections, so export or print anything important.
Add to your Home Screen
On iPhone: tap the Share icon in Safari, then "Add to Home Screen." On Android: tap the menu, then "Install app" or "Add to Home Screen."
If you need more support
This app is a gentle companion, not a replacement for care. If the load feels like more than reflection can hold, talking to your GP, a counsellor, or someone you trust is a strong and worthy next step.
Created from a nursing and care background.
